THE BRAIN CONTAINS A "BUTTON" TO RESTART THE SYSTEM

The human brain is so perfect that it manages to delete what you don't use, thus making room for new information.

Of course, it is no coincidence that the best way to learn is Practice. The more you practice something (whatever it is) your brain creates more brain-neuron circuits related to what you practice.

There is a saying in neuroscience that says: neurons that fire together connect.

This means that the more a neural circuit works in the brain, the stronger it becomes. That is why long and constant practice makes it perfect.

The more you play the piano, speak a foreign language or practice a sport, the more perfect you become. It's the same with neural circuits. Over the years, this has proven to be the key moment for learning new things. Even more important is our ability to break old habits. This is called "synaptic pruning". It works like this:

YOUR BRAIN IS AN ORCHARD, WHAT YOU SOW YOU WILL REAP! Imagine that your brain is a garden, but instead of flowers, fruits and vegetables, synaptic connections grow between neurons. These are the connections through which neurotransmitters pass, such as the hormones dopamine, cortisol, serotonin, and others. Synapse, in a narrower sense, "synaptic connection", denotes the presence of a specific contact between the membranes of two cells, at least one of which is a nerve (neuron).

Through this contact, a nerve impulse is transmitted from the neuron to the other cell, which may also be a neuron, or an effector cell, for example a muscle fiber.

Why is sleep so important?

Do you ever feel like your brain is overloaded with information?

Perhaps when starting a new job, a long and tiring journey, delving into a complex project and the like. Then it's like you don't get enough sleep, even though you're tired.

This is because your brain is overloaded and overloaded and this prevents sleep. When you learn a lot of new things, your brain makes connections, but they are ineffective (momentary), connections designed only for specific situations. Your brain needs to prune many of these connections and build more direct and efficient ones, which is exactly what happens while you sleep.

Your Brain Clears of Junk.

In deep sleep brain cells shrink by up to 60% to make room for your glial gardeners who come to remove debris and prune synapses. Surely you have ever woken up from a sound sleep and noticed that you are thinking clearly and quickly? This is precisely because of the so-called trimming and clearing that happens during sleep, which gives you enough space to receive and synthesize new information.

This is the same reason why afternoon naps are so beneficial to your full capacity later in the day. With one 30-minute nap, you give your microglial gardeners a chance to come in to clear out unused connections and make room for new ones.

Thinking with a well-rested brain is like walking happily through a Scenic Park, the paths are clear and connect to each other at different points, the trees are in place, you can clearly see what lies ahead. It's revitalizing.

You have some control over what your brain decides to eliminate while you sleep. Synapses you don't use are marked for recycling. The ones you use are the ones that are irrigated (watered) and enriched with oxygen (air + sun) so that you are soberly aware of what exactly you desire, think, speak and do.

To take advantage of our brain's natural gardening system, we simply need to think about the things that really matter to us and keep our focus always there, without distractions and waste.

The brain gardeners will strengthen these connections and prune those that don't really interest us. This is how each one can easily help their brain garden to flourish, bind and produce a bountiful harvest.

And we can outgrow the mass thinking .Beware…"Scarcity of thought creates legions of like-minded people."

Now that we understand how much it is up to us to CHOOSE exactly what & where to direct our thoughts, focus and efforts, to give them meaning and power - we can use our brains better.
