We all know Karen Dotrice for her role as Jane Banks in Mary Poppins where she starred alongside Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. She was named a Disney Legend in 2004.

Karen was born in Guernsey to two Shakespearian actors, Roy and Kay Dotrice. Her sisters Michelle and Yvette are also actresses. Her Godfather was actor Charles Laughton.

Karen was in The 39 Steps with John Mills and Robert Powell, Upstairs Downstairs, Napoleon & Love, Dickens of London. She also played Desdemona in Othello, opposite James Earl Jones, and Christopher Plummer. She has 3 children, Garrick, Isabella and Griffin. Karen’s voice has been in demand and her voicework has been featured on Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Pocahontas. In 2018 Karen made a guest appearance in Mary Poppins Returns. Karen lives in Malibu, California.
