Each of us must choose the right food for ourselves, of course, in order to feel good and get the best results for our body. A good advice from the old is: when cooking a meal to make it a habit to put the products always in boiling water.
All the dishes should be cooked over a moderate heat and never left on the fire after cooking
.
The Carrots for example are slow to cook (about 1/2 hour). Vegetarian food (except dried beans) should not boil for more than 30 minutes. The products are prepared when the water starts to boil.
Neither vegetables nor other products should be kept in water beforehand. Peel an onion, rinse it and immediately cut it, then the carrots and the rest of the vegetables. Never keep peeled and cut products -dry or in water for later cooking. Most vitamins do not withstand light, others heat, etc.
The Spinach should not be kept in water for a minute or two at most.
The Tomato Puree or tomatoes are a precaution against the destruction of any vitamins.
Usually, 30 % of the goodness of the products is lost during the cooking.
The lid must not be opened while the food is boiling. Put on the last product, cover with the lid and lower the heat, look at the clock and move the dish away from the heating at the appointed time.
If it is on a hot plate, consider that it will boil 10 minutes after turning off the hot plate(hob), but do not let it cool down on the hot plate. Prepare the food so that it is ready exactly the moment you sit down to eat.
Many of us have the habit of reheating the food. WRONG!
The food should not be re-heated not eve one time, because all the vitamins and goodness of the food are already lowered by 30% at the moment of the first cooking, with a second heating or every other almost all the goodness will be lost and nothing of what we eat will be of good use to our body.
It is good (whenever possible) to cook only for lunch or only for dinner. It is good to have something raw – a salad with every meal, because the vitamins are preserved there.
Do not keep the products under direct light and in a humid place. Always make sure they are kept in a cool, dry, dark place (cupboards are invented for a reason)
Nettles are stored in a closed pot, as well as spinach, onions, mint, parsley, etc.
Always Prefer fresh products and make your food before eating. When you eat hot food, the chemical processes in the stomach are facilitated. Chilled foods are not recommended. It is not good to eat hot from the pot food - it spoils the teeth and stomach.
High-calorie foods are all kinds of nuts. If you don't have time to eat a good freshly cooked meal, eat 10 walnuts and bread, almonds, peanuts and fruits. The Apples create a good detour in a person’s body. They bring softness, nurture
The Apples create a good detour in a person’s body. They bring softness, and nurture the feelings.
The Pears, the grapes and the walnuts are the ambrosia for the mind.
The Cherries bring cheerfulness, increase the feeling of hope, bring joy, act on the heart and blood. Strawberries and raspberries purify the blood and strengthen the nervous system. Recommended for neurasthenia and rheumatic disorders. During the season, you can make a regimen - to eat one kilogram divided into portions three times by noon - that is, 300 grams three times, observing an interval of one hour between each meal.
With the purification of the blood, the self-confidence of the person also increases.
Watermelons - bring vigor and good mood. Eat one kilogram of watermelon in the morning (divided into the same portions 300gr. Each). They cleanse the kidneys and bile and are great body cleanse “bats” for anybody young or old. Throughout the season of the watermelons, take a portion watermelon before breakfast - half or an hour before you eat, depending on how you feel your stomach. It is best to wait an hour so that the watermelon can pass through the intestines. It is not good to eat watermelon just before eating but you could skip a meal and make it a watermelon meal.
All the vegetables are best cooked with a little water and very tasty, as they boil do not open much the lid. Just make sure to lower the heat.
Raw vegetables are very good to eat also in moderation – the good balance between cooked and raw food is the core of every sensible diet.
The onion and garlic are incredibly good and useful either raw or cooked to treat many conditions including cancer. This is why they are in the base of almost every cooked dish.
If you want to get the best nutrition out of the Potatoes – they retain their nutrition best when boiled and eaten while still warm. The Chips came later 😊 not really in a favor of the balanced healthy eating, but as it is here since forever now– once a week is moderate to have some French Fries. Or once a month – you decide.
Beans (any kind of beans)
are also a widely used food. Beans and eggs replace in the vegetarian those proteins that others take in through meat. Eat beans at least once a week. Beans are the food of the Sixth Race they say. Today's man cannot enjoy all the elements all the beans contain.
Beans of any kind are best boiled with handful of herbs and they do not need oil to cook. We add cooking oil as this is something of a habit, we developed but in fact the beans do not need oil to taste good and be nutritious.
Fresh cabbage - good to cook
- Put in 1-2 tablespoons of water and simmer for 15-20 minutes, and it is ready. It is acidified with tomato puree.
- In addition, add a pinch black pepper, add a few cloves of garlic when removing from the heat.
- Grate the cabbage with a plastic grater and strain it through double gauze in a bowl of warm water, which is drunk after straining.
Fresh cabbage juice is very useful in gastritis, colitis, ulcers and gastrointestinal disorders in general. Cabbage juice is also very useful for healthy people.
Leek – this is a great winter food. Its green outer leaves are the most vitamin-rich. Raw is recommended against colds. Make a salad of leeks, grated turnips and carrots.
Spinach, quinoa, sorrel - puree or stew in a thicker form is good and easy to absorb food.
Parsley or mint in addition to salad, for seasoning, also serves as a medicine. The Mint is very rich in vitamin. A bunch of parsley, a bunch of mint, onion, garlic - become excellent meat free balls. Cut into small pieces, mash with salt, soften, mix with one egg, pepper and mix with a wooden spoon. Put them in preheated
oil without for 10-20 seconds for each side to retain their vitamins. Serve quite warm and delicious.
Food on the table is something we all should cherish and respect, be grateful for, never waste even a crump of bread that could feed a bird or another person and never forget that:
“There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.”
