We Are Who We Are
We Are Who We Are
By Adi Andreeva
We act as if we read enough motivational articles and positive quotes, suddenly a little light bulb will go on in our brain and we will take immediate action to make our wildest dreams come true.
But here's something that nobody talks about when it comes to success and motivation and willpower and goals and productivity and all those buzzwords that are so popular these days: you are who you are until you're not.

And what we need more than anything is: permission to be who we are until that happens.
We can't just push a button and get motivation when we don't have one. Sometimes we just have to go through something.
Sometimes life just happens.
Life! Yes, life teaches us things, and sometimes we have to walk a long way to get to the most important lesson.
We don't need to control everything.
We can wake up every day at 5 o'clock until we are completely exhausted, but the words, the picture, the ideas that do not want to come out will not come out.
We can have the best desire and intention every day, but if it's not the time, it's just not the time. We have to allow ourselves to be human beings.
In a few words: You change when you want to change. You implement your ideas when the time is right. That's how it happens.
But somehow we don't act like we understand this truth…
So many people try so desperately to manipulate and control their lives, to make creativity a game to be won, to shortcut their way to success because others have done it, to fight their emotions and insecurities, aiming to feel like the life journey in a straight line.
But the truth is: You cannot outwit the flow of your life. You just can't.You shouldn't control everything that comes, every aspect of it, just so you don't succumb to uncertainty and unpredictability or something that is beyond your understanding.
This is the basis of the idea of being present in the present moment: to show up as you are and let that be enough.
We fill every minute with useful activities, read 30-point lists of how to behave naturally and unadulterated. Watch motivational videos and ...We keep forgetting that we are who we are - until the moment we simply aren't.
We are the same until we change. We can speed up this process by, for example, adopting healthy habits and forcing ourselves to live in a way that promotes growth, but we can't play with Time.
Time is one of the things we have to rely on.
Huge amount of our unhappiness is due to believing that our life should be different from what it actually is.
We believe we are in control - then comes the self-loathing and self-loathing - from the idea that we should be able to change our circumstances, that we should be healthier, richer or prettier, better or happier.
As this sense of responsibility to ourselves grows, so does our resentment and bitterness, things that no one needs.
The answer is to do our best for the moment, then allow ourselves to let happen what will happen—and not feel so dependent and vulnerable about the outcome.
Opportunities don't always appear where we think…

In a few words:
You don't need any more motivation or inspiration to live the life you want. You need less harshness about not giving your best.
You need to stop listening to people who are in completely different life circumstances and in a completely different phase of life tell you that you are not doing enough or you can do better.
You need to let time do its work. You need to have an eye for lessons where you see obstacles. You need to understand that what is now is what will give you inspiration later.
Sometimes we are not yet the people we want to be because we still need to understand and realize our desires. Sometimes we just have to let ourselves walk the path of what we desire to manifest…for now and tomorrow ❤️
